The Party

After the morning of frosting and a now sore back from said frosting it was time to party. The kids had fun playing in the water and the adults got a chance to talk and eat cake. It was over all a great party. I know I had fun and so did Robert. Bryce even said we did a good job and that is saying something being as to him his mom is the queen of birthdays. He has always said that his mom made his birthday's a special day just for him. That is what Linzi and I tried to do for our kids. I think it worked. They loved it and had fun playing with their friends!

A picture of my birthday boy in the special hat that Linzi got for him. She got one that looked like and elephant for Rylee!!!

Rylee opening presents on her mom's (Linzi) lap.

Robert loved the bubble machine he got along with the 2 monkeys the bubbles the ball and glove and the Buzz Lightyear bubble machine. Thanks everyone!!!!

Let them eat cake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After presents and cake was done. The parents had a chance to sit and enjoy each other's company while the kids played in the water a little ways away.

I hope that everyone had fun. I know we did. Thank you to everyone who came you made it even more special by being there. Laters!!!!

Birthday party (the Work)

Ok so Robert and Rylee had their birthday party yesterday and I did the cakes for it. Little did I realize that it would mean 4 hours of baking and a little over five hours of frosting and that was with my friend Susie helping me. They did turn out really cute though.

A before picture of all the baking!

Another before picture!

This cake was made using 16 mini cupcake tops and a 15x11 cake. then add about 2.5 tubes of frosting and there you have it!!!

This was Rylee's cake notice the flower on the ear. (and the fact the banana says Rylee)

This one obviously was Robert's.

We had a jungle/ water party. Both of the kids love monkey's thus the monkey cakes. They were a lot of work but the kids liked them and it was fun being creative with something that I got to eat after. I don't think I will go into business though. It takes me to long to do these right now. Maybe after I get more practice and get faster and better at it I will think about it. So don't ask!

Happy Birthday Robert!!!!! Today you turned 2!!!

Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday dear Robert! Happy Birthday to you! I can't believe it. My little man turned 2 years old today. He is such a big boy. I love him so much. He is the greatest kid in my life. I couldn't have asked for a better son. He always seems to know what to do to help me through the day. Oh and man was he spoiled this year. He didn't get anything but toys and movies!

Here is Robert's birthday picture. He is such a cute two year old!

Opening his little people parking garage!

Yeah a new Disney movie to watch over and over and over again! Toy Story!!!

Robert opening another gift. I think this one was his play fish bowl with stuffed fish! Those are the best pets. They are easy to take care of!!

Robert opening his bubble machine!

Robert opening his gift from daddy! He got a basketball hoop that is now on the back of the computer chair so that Robert can dunk the ball!

We did his birthday dinner on Thursday because we had a ward BBQ tonight. But as you can see Robert loves spaghetti. He would eat it every night if we let him.

Today was a really fun day. I still can't believe I am the mother of a two year old. It seems like yesterday they were putting him in my arms for the first time saying congrats your a mom. I look forward to the next year with my big boy and all the challenges we are going to face together. Potty training is coming soon but we have to move first!

Egan lake

On Wednesday we went to the lake with our friends. Robert and I had a lot of fun playing in the water and talking to the other moms that were there with their kids. Here are some pictures of our trip.

Robert was fearless in his life jacket. He went everywhere!!!

He took some much needed rest while we were there. I may need to get him one of these rafts later.

We caught tadpoles in a bucket and then let them go when we were done looking at them.

This is Roberts best buddy Luc. His mom was one of the other moms that brought their kids and we all had a blast.

This is Riley. She is a few days younger than Robert and they are going to have their party together on Monday. It is going to be so much fun!!!

As you can see we did a lot of stuff at the lake. We swam and ran about. We learned about tadpoles and some of the kids even tried eating sand. I was even bit by a red ant. It was a very full day.

air show

Last Saturday Bryce and I took Robert to see the air show. We had a lot of fun and got a little burned. Robert looks in the sky all the time now wanting to see airplanes.

Robert and Daddy smile for the camera between plane take offs.

One of the few military planes they had at the air show.

Another military plane. These were our favorites!

This is the Marine air craft. It was neat to see because Grandpa Hageman was a Marine!!!

This is the B-52 that Robert and daddy got to go look at up close. Robert loved it. He wanted to go inside and look around!

Over all it was a really fun day. We are so glad the Bryce was able to take the morning off and go with us to the show!!!

Birthday parties, haircuts, and wedding stuff

Well it has been another week and this one was slightly more exciting than last week. Robert went to a birthday party on Saturday and had a blast. His party is in the planning phase. We are celebrating it with one of his friends who's birthday is on the 25th. We are going with a jungle theme being as they both love monkeys. I am making the cake she is doing custom invites it is going to be fun.

I finally got tired of Robert's hair looking crazy all the time and cut it. He has needed it for a while. It is a total summer cut but thats fine with me.

I finally have all the flowers for my sister's wedding done. It feels so good to have them out of the way. With all the stress gone the creative juices are coming back. I am so happy!!!

On other news. I have convinced Bryce to get pictures of the family in BYU-Idaho shirts to put in his graduation announcements. I can't wait to get them done.
I will try and get another post up before Sunday. I just have to figure out exactly how to word what I want to say. Laters!

Our Weekend

This last weekend our ward had it's father son outing and due to the weather lately they had to change camp sites because the one they usually go to was under water. Even still Robert came home covered in mud because it rained on them. The girls though had a get together that night and did makeovers. It was so much fun. I needed it.
On Sunday the bishop was talking about the outing and mentioned that when people got to the site there were fire trucks and a police car. Lightning had struck the water pump and started a small fire. He also said that pictures were taken of each father and son under the amazing rainbow they saw. If I ever get a copy of the picture of Bryce and Robert I'll get it up here.
In other news, I talked to my mom on Friday night and found out that she is doing much better. Her doctor took her off of eleven yes you read it right eleven medications leaving her on four. He also did another test on her liver and said that it is functioning much better than it was when she was in the hospital and if they can keep it up she wont need a transplant. She also told me that the ward back home is going to take care of centerpieces for my sisters wedding so now I don't have to do them. That makes it so now I only have flowers for the parents and Chris left to do. I am so excited. It will give me more time to work on going through all the stuff in my house and get rid of it. I started to freak out last night because we are moving in nine weeks. I am so not ready for this.
As soon as I get the pictures off of my camera I can show you what the girls did to me at our party. I loved it.
Laters!
